About Tanya
For Tanya Fuchs, photography has always been about more than capturing a place—it’s about capturing the feeling of being there.
A lifelong South Shore native and year-round Fire Island resident, Tanya has spent much of her life surrounded by water. From surfing and boating to simply watching the light change over the bay, the coast has shaped both the way she lives and the way she sees the world.
Her photography extends well beyond the shoreline she calls home. An avid traveler, Tanya is drawn to landscapes, water, quiet details, and those unexpected moments that make you stop and take it all in. Her work is a collection of familiar shores and faraway places, all seen through her lens.
LAND. WATER. WANDER. brings those photographs together—images inspired by the places that ground her, the water that feels most like home, and everything that pulls her beyond it.
Raised on the water. Grounded by the island. Always wandering with a camera.
